The Party Animal Visits...Andorra
Posted Mon 18th JulyToday is a particularly exciting day. Not just because you’re finally getting the chance to meet me, or because I’ve got a VIP table booked at one of London’s most exclusive nightclubs later.
No - it’s exciting because I’m here to tell you the wonders of Andorra, and possibly the World’s, most buzzing resort - Pas De La Casa.
It won’t be coming through the eyes of the self-proclaimed ‘Expert’ or ‘Beginner’ either, it’ll be through my eyes (which, granted, are slightly hungover, yes).
Though, it’s not all about the Tequilas and Mojitos. I am actually extremely cultural, and I can ski (see image I took from slopes below). I’m in fact not too far off the Expert - perhaps I am something of an ‘intermediate’. Come to think of it, that could have been my format, though they told me nobody would find mediocracy particularly fascinating.
Anyway - enough jibber jabber. You’re here to hear about Pas De La Casa. The first thing to say is that this place is LIVELY. Even by my legendary standards, the resort is pretty wild, and large - the truth being that you’re unlikely to struggle for something to do. The bar, nightclub and even restaurant closing times would put the height of ‘rave culture’ to shame.
So, in the ‘Ibiza of the Slopes’, I enjoyed one of their famous ‘bar crawls’ as a baptism of fire on my very first night in Andorra (this was after a long day’s skiing I might add). Starting in a charming apres ski restaurant, where myself and the rest of the group - an assortment of Australians, Brits, and skiers from other European countries including Finland, Spain and Lithuania - enjoyed fine dining.
The following few hours flew by. A whole host and variety of bars, from the charming and homely fire-lit abode to the superclub where the night ended, Pas De La Casa, I can assure you, has an enormous amount to offer.
The Party Animal’s Rating: 9/10
Next Time: I’m off to La Folie Douce in Val D’Isere, France.
