Arabba Guide
With access to the Marmolada Glacier and the stunning Hidden Valley nearby, its no wonder skiers have been returning here year after year. Its definately a resort for people who have skied before, many of the runs are very, very long, there’s one run over 17 kilometres in length, but with over 10 mountain restaurants to take a break in, and the stunning scenery to enjoy, it will be a pleasure, we guarantee it.
Beginners are very limited due to the lack of nursery slopes, there is an English speaking ski school who will take you to the quieter slopes to practise. They do cater for children too with ski school starting from 4 years and over and a creche for babies 2 years and over. Many hotels cater for families too, with excellent childcare facilities.
Intermediates are definitely better suited to Arabba, with 60 kilometres of blues and reds to ski in the Arabba area alone and off course you are right on the Sella Ronda Circuit which opens you up to over 1000 kilometres of piste.
Advanced skiers will love the exhilarating black runs available in this area, many of the on the nearby Porta Vescovo mountain which reach altitudes of over 2500 metres and of course the amazing bowls of the Marmolada Glacier and the off piste opportunities are phenomenal too.
This compact, delightful resort has a family friendly feel and some fabulous hotels and chalets, all near to the resort centre and many even ski in, ski out too. The night life is laid back and relaxed, with a good selection of cafés, bars and restaurants on offer.
Non skiers can enjoy the selection of shops, ice rink, wine tasting and day trips to the hidden valley, as well as the beautiful hotels spa facilities and swimming pools.
Arabba is a real skiers paradise, with challenging runs, stunning scenery and giving you access to the spectacular Italian dolomites. Arabba links with stunning resorts on the Sella Ronda ski circuit, Canazei, Val Di Fassa and Corvara. One of the few areas in Italy which also has a natural ice rink too.
