To celebrate the wonderful news of the birth of the future king, all of us at Ski Swift got all patriotic and created a list of our top resorts which will be fit for a king.

We know the Royal family are keen skier and ventured out onto the slopes many times. Here is our list of resorts where it is quite possible to bump into royalty and potentially the location where King George will take to the snow - when he is old enough of course.

Klosters – Davos Switzerland

This resort has the reputation as Prince Charles’ favorite resort, it is made up from the two extremely high altitude resorts; Davos and Klosters, linking over 320km of world class skiing. There are 6 different mountain ranges linked by the state of the art lift system, giving something for everyone - no matter your ability. There are rumours that this is the location that Charles and Diana got engaged, and later where Andrew and Fergie and the first skiing trip Wills took Kate. This resort is definitely a favorite with our Royals.

Courchevel France

This resort is situated in the French Alps, with its high altitude and guaranteed snow across over 600km of amazing piste, there is no wonder this resort is known as one of the most prestigious resorts in the Alps. Courchevel is a very chic resorted in the Three Valleys, and has attracted Kate and William to it, it is definitely a resort for young and young hearted people with a great après ski and exciting nightlife.

Lech Austria

Lech resort is another favorite with the Royals; Princess Diana went 5 years in a row. It is one of Austria’s most exclusive resorts sitting high in the Arlberg Valley, surrounded by outstanding scenery and some of Europe’s finest hotels. Lech offers high altitudes and guaranteed snow and over 340 km suiting every level of skier. This is a great resort for non skiers with walking trails exclusive boutiques and even horse drawn sleigh rides to be enjoyed.

Meribel France

This is another big favourite with the Royal family. Edward and Sophie often make a trip out and have done for a few years now. Maribel is a trendy resort with very high quality pistes and accommodation. Meribel is part of the famous Three Valleys, 600 kilometres of piste offering every level of skier fantastic conditions.
