There a few key things to focus on to make sure you are fit a ready to go; flexibility, strength and stamina. Focusing on these areas will help you to enjoy your holiday more and not have to sit it out.
Preparation Before You Start
Before you got out on the slopes be sure to stretch thoroughly, focusing on your leg and thigh muscles. Making your your muscles are warm before you ski is essential and it help to reduce soreness and injury. Make sure you warm down and stretch at the end of the day, swimming or relaxing in the hot tub are both great ways to do this.
If this is your first time skiing, be prepared that the first few days will be pretty tough, it does take time to learn the basics and it is unlike anything else. Having a few lessons at an indoor ski slope is a really good way to get you started. Indoor ski slopes are also a great way to refresh your skills, if you have skied before.
