Calling all Groups!

group-skiing

We know that on every group skiing holiday, you get a variety of characters, so we’ve put together some advice for each one of you...

The Group Organiser

Ok, so you’ve pulled the short straw. Inevitably, if you’re reading this, then everyone else has run a mile at the sound of the word “organise”, and they’ve left you on your own. The others don’t want to admit it, but you’re basically in charge - this is both an honour and a great responsibility. Use the power wisely.

You’re never going to please everyone, so, as a start, forget perfection. Try and suit as many people in the group as possible, but don’t forget yourself, and make sure you still choose the things that you want to do as well. You’re good at planning, but you’re not a miracle worker!

Where’s best for me?

You’ll definitely need a drink when you arrive! We recommend Elsie’s Bar in Zermatt where you can have a quiet drink to yourself - after all, you’ve worked very hard!

The Expert

You’re relishing this holiday, a chance to flex your snow sporting muscles in front of your friends. You want the most challenging, daredevil slopes out there. Don’t be too modest about your abilities, be proud of them - but don’t put the beginners to shame!

Where’s best for me?

The slopes of Chamonix will be right up your street, it certainly isn’t amateur hour here!

The Beginner

Maybe The Expert has begged you to come on this holiday, or perhaps you have always wanted to try it but you’ve never had the chance. Either way, you’re doing this for the first time, and you want the perfect place to make a start.

Where’s best for me?

We think the best place for you will be Bansko of Bulgaria, once you’ve tried it, you’ll never look back! (See ‘The Expert’ when you go on your next trip!)

The Party Animal

You love the nightlife, the music, the bars and most of all, the drinks! Remember to be reasonable with the others on the trip - some will want an early night before a big ski the next day! You, on the other hand, will want to stay out until it’s light...

Where’s best for me?

Famed as the 24/7 party resort, you’ll love Ischgl, but maybe not the morning after!

The Culture Vulture

It’s a constant source of amusement for The Expert, but you’d rather take in the breathtaking views, stunning art and authentic culture than the slopes or the apres-ski. Don’t be ashamed, embrace being the Culture Vulture!

Where’s best for me?

The fine wine of Cortina d’Ampezzo in Austria will surely impress you - the others won’t understand this high culture!

The Non-Skier

Feeling as though you’re the odd one out? Never fear! There’s more to a skiing holiday than just skiing…

If you have a word with The Group Organizer, try and negotiate a chalet for your stay - it’s the perfect place for those of you who aren’t skiing to hang out and socialize whilst the others are hurtling down through the courses.

Where’s best for me?

Avoriaz has an incredible shopping scene - if that’s your thing, then this is the one for you.

There’s something for everyone at Ski Swift - now it’s just up to Mr. Organizer to choose where…
