Ursula and Gernot Auer took over the Hotel Feinschmeck back in 2012 and have transformed it into one of Zell am See's best central hotels. As one of Zell's oldest hotels, built back in 1606, you might expect it to be old fashioned - but you'd be wrong. The furniture throughout does reflect some of the hotel's history, but there are plenty of modern touches that you'll love.

You'll only have a short walk up to the City Xpress gondola that'll whisk you up to the Schmittenhohe for all your skiing needs. Alternatively the ski bus stops close by for easy access to the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier. As mentioned, the Feinschmeck is right in the centre of town so you can easily get out and about for exploring Zell's vibrant après and nightlife or a peaceful stroll along the lakeside promenade.

When booking, you've got the choice between bed and breakfast or half board. There are loads of restaurants right on your doorstep, however the Feinschmeck can provide some pretty tasty morsels including their renowned handmade selection of pastries.

If all that sounds like too much then just take it easy in the wellness area. There's Finnish and bio saunas, Turkish steam bath and whirlpool to choose from (or try them all). There's also a wide range of massage and beauty treatments available to book too.
