If you want the best then this is it – it’s not just the only AAA Five-Diamond rated (the Canada/USA rating system) resort hotel in Whistler, it’s the only one in Western Canada. This hotel is as close to perfection as you can get, the service is unfaultable but it’s not stuffy – the staff are so friendly, love the mountains and seem pretty determined in making sure you have the best stay possible. The slopes are only 200m away but in true Four Seasons style not only is there a shuttle if you don’t want to walk, there’s even Four Seasons ski-in, ski-out concierge staff at the base of the slopes, ready with your skis at the start of the day and to pick them up at the end. The rooms are gigantic, we especially love the walk-in closet, which is the size of most London hotel rooms, and the really lavish bathrooms. The spa is worth crossing the Atlantic for alone, and you can’t have a better evening than a cocktail at the bar and then going to Sidecut restaurant for the best steak in town.
