As is the case with CGH-run properties, the Residence Nevada Apartments are smartly presented with a North-American traditional theme to the interior, but it’s the on-site facilities which are a real treat.The apartments are a stone’s throw from the main bars in Val Claret, literally 1 minutes’ walk up the street the building stands on, and the nearest lift is 5 minutes’ walk although there are three within 15 minutes' walk all to different areas of the mountain.Each apartment has a genuine holiday apartment feel to it. The living areas are crying out for bobble hats and goggles to be left on the tiled countertops and brightly coloured winter wear to punctuate the pastel-wash coloured walls, aged timber furniture and traditional deep red, tree-patterned alpine sofa cushions.Once you see the spa, you’ll inevitably never leave it. The design is funky and earthy with modern saunas and hammams, and a fitness room overlooking the pool which is surrounded by stone pillars with glass walls on two sides. It’s even better in person than it sounds and it's included.You can also fuel up for breakfast by ordering the bakery delivery service the evening before and picking it up from reception in the morning. Just another one of the little things done well at the Nevada.
