However, it's also right at the bottom of a blue run and less than a stone's throw from the newly built Eichenhof gondola that takes you to the very top of the St Johann ski area.Formerly a small 3* hotel with 32 rooms, the Kaiserfels recently underwent extensive rebuilding and refurbishment, and reopened in December 2014 as an impressive 134-room 4* hotel.Much of the improvement focused on the large new hotel wing - including a wellness centre with indoor pool, four saunas and steam rooms, gymnasium and relaxation areas. The new rooms are bright and spacious, providing warmth and lots of comfort, while rooms in the original wing retain much of their traditional style.
