Chalet Hotel Hermann

stars

Welcome to Chalet Hotel Hermann in the snow-sure resort of Sölden. Chalet Hotel Hermann has one of the most scenic locations, sitting above the town centre, within the district of See, and with several easy options for ski access. The free public bus number 56 departs at regular intervals only metres away every morning until 10:30, ferrying skiers to the Gaislachkogl gondola for quick access to the whole ski area, and returning to the hotel from 14:45 to 17:00 every afternoon. In good conditions, experienced skiers can walk about 350m from the hotel and take a ski track linking to the Gigi red run 21 and the base of the Giggijoch lift, which swiftly connects to the entire ski area and links to both the glaciers. For those seeking to soak up the lively atmosphere of Solden’s centre a 5 minute walk leads to the modern funicular lift, which provides quick and free access to the town all day and operates until 11pm.The lounge area in the Chalet Hotel Hermann was updated to create an inviting and comfortable area with several sofas and chairs. Doors lead off here to the large terrace, an ideal spot for indulging in afternoon tea on brighter days. The dining room is light and spacious with traditional Austrian style seating, as well as regular tables and chairs. The bar is most definitely the focal point of the hotel, being central in the building and buzzing with a lively and welcoming atmosphere. All the bedrooms within the Chalet Hermann are a good size and have their own en suite facilities, with either shower or bath, some of which have the retro-tiling much beloved by Austrian architects, and others which are more modern. All of them have a flat screen TV and most also have a balcony or terrace. The Wellness area in the Hermann boasts a sauna and steam room with power showers and a relaxation area – recommended for easing aching muscles, and unwinding pre-dinner.The Chalet Hotel also has an incredible ‘Panorama’ wing, which houses its own ski room and is just steps from the main Hermann building. The ‘Panorama’ wing contrasts the traditional adjoining hotel with design and interiors which are stylish and contemporary. In the ‘Panorama’ wing the bedrooms all have balcony or terrace with fantastic views and are all en suite with showers and wcs that have been tastefully designed with clean classic lines and smart fittings throughout. Guests staying in the Panorama wing will enjoy their meals in the Hermann which is literally just next door and share all its facilities. The Wellness area in the Hermann boasts a sauna and steam room with power showers and a relaxation area – the ideal spot in which to ease aching muscles, unwind and completely relax.
