Kumbichlhof

stars

We love the location of the Pension Kumbichlhof. Both the Ahorn and Penken gondolas are around five minutes on foot, along with the centre of town, but it's tucked away on a quiet sidestreet so you should be in for a peaceful night's sleep too. This charming little family-run guesthouse has a really authentic and rustic farmhouse feel to it - typical of the Tyrolean region. All the bedrooms have balconies and many overlook the mountains. Plus WiFi is available throughout free of charge.Food wise you'll be offered a continental style breakfast buffet that should set you up nicely for each day out on the mountain - and as the Kumbichlhof is part of a working farm you may be treated to a few home-produced ingredients. There's the good value option of upgrading to half board with 3-course meals taken in a local restaurant - alternatively stick with B&B as there are a few restaurants within a couple of hundred metres and many more towards the bottom of the highstreet.

All rooms have a flatscreen cable TV, extra charge for WiFi and are non-smoking.Standard Twin Room - sleeps 2: Austrian twin beds, private bath or shower, WC and balcony.Triple Room - sleeps 2-3 (max 2 adults): Austrian twin beds, extra single sofa bed, private bath or shower, WC and balcony. Austrian twin beds Austrian twin beds are very common in Central Europe. They’re simply one large bed frame containing two single mattresses, both with separate duvets and linen sets, that cannot be separated. Separate twin beds are less common and can often be head to head beds, rather than side by side, if they are available.
