Chalet Mara

stars

The Chalet Mara is really handy for getting out and about to see the full Zell am See-Kaprun ski area - along with some great views. Firstly, for beginners, you've got the Lechnerberg nursery slopes less than 10 minutes' walk away. Take a shortcut through the old railway tunnel and the Maiskogel slopes aren't much further. Also up the end of the road is the free ski bus stop, so it's dead easy to get over to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier or Zell am See's Schmittenhöhe - both around 15 minutes in either direction. Also, Kaprun's centre is just over the bridge, so on the chalet hosts' night off you'll have plenty of choice for dinner nearby or for a bit of après action. The Mara has nine bedrooms, all comfortably decorated in a typically Austrian style but with a bright and cheery, modern vibe. There are even some family rooms. A couple of the rooms have their private bathrooms separated from the room, so if you pick one of these rooms you may want to save a little space in your suitcase for a bathrobe to make things easier in the mornings. We know you're here for the skiing or snowboarding, but if you do fancy a bit of down time then there's also a comfy lounge area with free WiFi, so you can update your status and make all your friends at home jealous.
