The location is fantastic – it’s just a snowball’s throw from the lifts, ski school and rental store – the food is incredible and there’s not one but two spa areas.The Vestlia is on the quieter Geilolia side of the resort, but it’s easy to jump on a shuttle bus to the town centre.The modern rooms are all beautifully decorated with dark wood and warm colours - and most of them have balconies so you can make the most of the stunning views of the valley and slopes.Norwegians pride themselves on their food and the Vestlia is the perfect example – mealtimes are out of this world. From the endless breakfast buffet – you can even cook your own flower-shaped waffles – to the sumptuous 3-course evening meals, you’ll be glad you’re spending so much time on the slopes to work it all off.The Vestlia doesn’t just have one pool area – it has two. Just off the lobby is a huge indoor pool, kids’ pool, Jacuzzi and a waterslide that loops outside before coming back into the warmth. And downstairs is an adults-only spa with a second pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool and plunge pool - plus a range of treatments and massages on offer for an extra charge.When you finish on the slopes, you can have a quiet drink in the bar, spend a couple of hours in the bowling alley or let the kids run wild in the huge indoor play area.
