Self-catering apartments are fairly few and far between in Austria, so it's great to have the fantastic Tom Sojer (pronounced 'Soyer) Apartments as an option in Ellmau. The building was once a traditional Austrian hotel, and it's now been lovingly converted into attractive and spacious self-contained apartments. The apartments are situated 2 minutes' walk to Ellmau centre and just 5 minutes to the nearest ski lift.

All apartments have a kitchenette with hotplates, oven and fridge, private bathroom with bath and WC, a balcony and a satellite TV.Type C apartment - 50m² - sleeps 2-4 (max 3 adults): Bedroom with Austrian twin beds and living room with double sofa bed. Known locally as Type A.Type E apartment - 65-80m² - sleeps 4-6 (max 5 adults): Two bedrooms with Austrian twin beds, living room with double sofa bed and a second bathroom. They’re simply one large bed frame containing two single mattresses, both with separate duvets and linen sets, that cannot be separated. Separate twin beds are less common and can often be head to head beds, rather than side by side, if they are available.
