Murren Guide

Beginners will love the easy access to the nursery slopes, located in the village along with the ski school where you can get some excellent private or group tuition from English speaking instructors. The families of skiers will also like Murren as there are plenty childcare options and fun activities to do whilst you relax in the knowledge that your kids are having fun too.

Intermediates and improvers will enjoy the blues from Allmendhubel back to the village or why not take the mountain train up to Kleine Scheidegg at Wengen with its excellent selection of long reds to get those ski miles under your belt. The all area lift pass will include all major resorts in the Jungfrau Region including Grindelwald, Wengen and Kandersteg, all fabulous areas for your level of skier.

Advanced skiers are best suited to this resort, with the Schilthorn having some amazing black runs heading back to the village. Another must is the intense 15 kilometres ‘Inferno’ challenge, which takes you all the way down the lauterbrunnen. Off piste opportunities are superb too when conditions are permitting.

Snowboarding is at home in the resort of Murren, infact the Jungfrau region has got to offer some of the best boarding conditions in Europe. Murren hosts one of the Jungfrau’s biggest snow parks and there is natural bumps and jumps and wide cruising runs to enjoy too.

Evenings in Murren tend to be quiet with guest enjoying leisurely meals and wine in their hotels before strolling into the village and enjoying a drink in one of the traditional rustic bars. There are a few local and international restaurants with in easy walk of the village centre too.

Non ski activities are plentiful though, making this a great resort for non skiers too. There is curling, ice skating, a sports centre with swimming pool, Jacuzzi and other spa treatments. There are some wonderful winter walks in the valley as well as tobogganing for the very adventurous.
