Gosau Ski Holidays
Gosau is one of Austria’s hidden gems; it is a stunning resort, just perfect for families and beginners in particular. With a multitude of long gentle greens and blues, it is definitely one of the best areas in Europe to learn to ski. The local ski school offer excellent tuition and kindergartens all run though English speaking instructors and nannies. Most ski school is based over 5 days and is 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours after lunch.

Intermediates are very well catered for in Gosau, with access to some of Upper Austria’s largest ski resorts, easily reached on local ski bus, however you have some of Austria’s most stunning scenery in the 130km of piste on your local pass. There are long cruising runs and plenty tree lined runs, perfect for the improvers in your party.
Advanced skiers have a handful of challenging reds and 3 black runs, however the off piste action is tremendous, and don’t forget that you can ski other neighbouring resorts on ski away days too. Boarders have some wonderful wide runs and some amazing free ride areas and terrain parks in this region.
The evenings in Gosau are peaceful and relaxed, maybe enjoying a drink in one of the traditional pubs, or enjoying a leisurely meal in one of the 13 restaurants, which offer many different menus, some local menus and international cuisine.
Non ski activities include curling, sleigh rides, tobogganing to name a few. There’s also a wonderful public swimming pool, sauna and tennis courts, so there’s plenty to entertain all ages.
So for some of the best views of the Salzkammergut area, a fantastic resort to learn or improve in, Gosau really has it all.
