Traditional hospitality, modern comforts and first-class service are just a few of the things you can expect at the Posthotel Schladming. Starting life as a coaching inn 400 years ago, it's now a lovely family-run hotel where the staff are always smiling. The rooms are decorated in authentic country style, with wooden furniture and warm colours. This theme continues to tthe restaurant where you can sample delicious Styrian cuisine made with regional produce - the desserts are particularly mouthwatering. Across the road is the hotel-owned Cabalou bar where you can sit back with a coffee or a fruity cocktail and swap stories of your day on the mountain. If pampering is more your thing, then you can retire to the wellness area and take advantage of the sauna, steam room, infrared cabin and relaxation room - or treat yourself to a massage or beauty treatment. The Posthotel backs up its excellent service and facilities with a fantastic location in the main square of Schladming. It's close to all the shops, bars and restaurants, and the Planai gondola is just 3 minutes' walk away.

All rooms have a flatscreen TV with UK channels, free WiFi, telephone, hairdryer, bathrobes (and slippers free on request), safe and minibar, and are non-smoking. Room service is available. Posthorn Small Twin Room - sleeps 2: Austrian twin beds, private shower and WC. Single Room - sleeps 1: Single bed, private shower or bath, WC and balcony.Austrian twin bedsAustrian twin beds are very common in Central Europe. They're simply one large bed frame containing two single mattresses, both with separate duvets and linen sets, that cannot be separated. Separate twin beds are less common and can often be head-to-head beds, rather than side by side, if they are available.
